Schecter Banshee
The Schecter Banshee is another guitar that I do not own but would love to!! If you would like to buy be one you can here!!
I saw this guitar in Soundcontrol Manchester (who I believe is the UK distributer for Schecter Guitars). It is another retro style Pawnshop guitar that was all the rage in the early to mid noughties- due to their popularity with Jack Black and various indie stars. This guitar has now sadly been discontinued!!
I liked the look of the guitar and had a go through and Orange Rocker amp. The Lipstick pick up and the retro toaster humbucker set the vibe off perfectly!! The guitar has a whammy and grover tuners and is sor of a cross between a teisco/ tel and a strat.
What a guitar. Schecter never fail to impress me with there more traditional offerings such as this guitar and the Schecter Ultra range. The neck lipstick pick up does a retro tone excellently- very smooth and classy whilst the bridge -Beach Boys surf vibe in it- a bit of reverb and it's surf all the way- with the bridge added it thickens up - but tap the bridge and we have a true surfer!!
In reality the sound is a cross between and tele and a strat- but this guitar looks so cool- just look at that heastock!!
This guitar is very versatile- tappable humbucker and single coil at the bridge- can do everything a tele can do with perhaps not as much JANGLE- but it plays great!!
I WANT ONE!!
